Serves 2
Ingredients
- 4 mackerel fillets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Method
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, lime juice, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and vegetable oil.
Place the mackerel fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure they are well coated. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
Remove the mackerel fillets from the marinade and place them on the grill, skin side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and lightly charred.
Transfer the grilled mackerel to a serving platter and sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
